    • Being long and thin, he was known as "Long Coon". He lived near Cokesbury. He owned a 400 acre farm, the main part of which is now being farmed by William and Fred Teats. He helped with the building of the Methodist Church in Cokesbury and was a charter member. Tombstone states he was a member of the church for 26 years—it having been started in 1810.
