    • On the 3rd of May 1827, Peter, his wife and four children with Adam D. Tiger and wife, Mary Philhower (sister of Peter) settled in Canoe Twp., Indiana Co., Pa. Peter had 600 acres and Adam had 400 acres. From this time until 1840 they farmed the land. In 1840, Peter and Elizabeth and family, selling their land to Adam, moved back to New Jersey. It has been said that he had enough of the Indians in that area. Adam and his family stayed in Indiana Co., Pa.
