    • Clarence was only five years old when his father died. His mother had to sell the grist mill in Teetertown and moved her family to the town of High Bridge, NJ, where Clarence has lived ever since, in the same house, for over eighty years. Clarence is considered to be a very reliable authority on the history of High Bridge. Clarence was employed as a patternmaker in the Taylor Wharton Foundry Company in High Bridge, NJ.
